Owen Extension Office (1955)
The
Owen office of the Clark County Extension Service has been in
existence one year. During the course of the year 189 farmers
contacted the office for various types of
information.
Stanley W. Ihlenfeldt, Clark County Agricultural
agent, opened the office at the hospital farm one year ago.
The office is located in the conservation building, directly behind
the main building.
The
office is intended to give greater service to the farmers in the
northern portion of the county. During the winter a representative
of the Clark County soil conservation district was also present to
discuss soil conservation problems. During the past month
farmers residing in the northern portion were given an opportunity
to sign-up with the agricultural conservation program at the
office.
The office is open each Wednesday, from 10:00 to 12:00 and 1:00 to 3:00.
