Wucherpfenig, Ferdinand (? - April 1955) 
 

Ferdinand Wucherpfenig, 75, pioneer resident of the Colby area, was interred last Friday in the Colby Cemetery.  He was born in Germany; came to the United States with his parents at the age of three; married Elenor Fitzel in 1926; retired and moved to Colby in 1945. 
 

Mr. Wucherpfenig is survived by his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Ralph (Rose) Andrew, Colby; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Elmer (Mary) Schmidt, Marshfield; four brothers, Gus Wucherpfenig, Stratford, Frank and Fred Wucherpfenig, Forman, N. D., and Reinhold Wucherpfenig, Loyal; a sister, Mrs. Sam Yelke, Colby; and 10 grandchildren.
