Schweiger, Mary (10 June 1878 - 25 April
1955)
Mrs. Louis Schweiger, 76, died at her home
Monday, April 25. She had been in ill health all winter and
for the past week had been confined to her bed.
Mary Motchenbacher was born in Trempealeau County
June 10, 1878, and came to Clark County with her parents when 10
years of age. The family lived on a farm southwest of
Greenwood and later moved to a farm near Eaton Center, where she
lived until her marriage to Louis Schweiger on October 17,
1898.
After their marriage they lived on farms in Clark
County until 45 years ago when they moved to Loyal. There
they have since resided.
Funeral services will be held in St.
Anthony’s Catholic Church Thursday at 9:30 a.m. The
Rev. Norbert King will officiate and burial will be in the parish
cemetery.
She
is survived by her husband; one daughter, Mrs. George (Leona)
Bentzler, Loyal; one brother, Joseph Motchenbacher, Loyal; 14
grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
One
son, one daughter and one brother preceded her in
death.

Funeral services were held for Mrs. Louis
Schweiger in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Loyal, at 9:30
a.m. Thursday. Burial was in the parish cemetery. The Rev.
Norbert King officiated.
Grandsons of the deceased served as
pallbearers. They were: Garland, Raymond, Edward, George Jr.,
Donald and Jerome Bentzler.
Out of town people attending were Mr. and Mrs. Sam Crimaldi, Mr. and Mrs. Garland Bentzler, and Mr. and Mrs. Dick Lasch, South Bend, Ind.; Mr. and Mrs. Urban Aumann, Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Bentzler and children Shawano; Mr. and Mrs. John Grutzik and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Grutzik, City Point; Lon Mabie and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Mabie, Kennan; Mrs. Otto Schecklman, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Ley, Chili; and Mrs. Martin Cain, Durand.
