Anthony’s parish will honor Father Edward Joseph Bertz upon
the occasion of his first celebration of Mass next Sunday. A
banquet will be served by the ladies of the church to invited
guests. The toastmaster will be Father Anthony Wagener,
editor of the Register, Catholic paper of the La Crosse
diocese.
At 3 p.m. there will be solemn Benediction, with the most Blessed Sacrament, given by Father Bertz. Thereafter a reception will be held, with a light lunch. Father Norbert E. King, the pastor, extends an invitation to the public to attend the Mass, the Benediction and the reception.
