The Owen mill will close down in a short time for repairs. It will be running at full blast again by New Year.
Rasmus Andersen has been kept busy selling and hauling hay the past few days.
Our merchants are preparing themselves for the holiday trade.
The ground is freezing up in the woods very fast now. We suppose that people in the woods will have no trouble now in getting their logs out.
Mrs. A. C. Nielsen paid Greenwood a visit last Monday.
Dr. Nielsen reports a great deal of sickness in this vicinity at present.
Mrs. P. Sorensen gave birth to a girl last week. Both mother and child are doing well.
Olsen expects to move into his new home the coming week. He has been kept busy plastering the house.
It seems hard to do a day's work now when the sun rises so late and leaves us so early.
