Pleasant Ridge
Mrs. S. E. Blackman had a new windmill put up by Howard Bros. last week.
Will Waterman came home Saturday to remain until after the holidays.
A telegram was received Saturday telling of the serious illness of Wm. Short, of Hillside, with appendicitis. Oscar Counsell, accompanied by Mrs. H. Counsell, took the night train for that place. His many friends here hope for a speedy recovery.
Married at Pleasant Ridge church Dec. 12, at 3 p.m., Miss Lena Jahr of the Ridge, to Charles Steuerwald of Spokeville. The knot was tied by Rev. Ingham, and the large number of friends to shower congratulations upon the happy couple, testified of the esteem in which they were held.
A Christmas program is being prepared by the Sunday School and Musical Club.
