Hemlock, Wisconsin
Mable Varney took the evening train for Dorchester Sunday, where she goes to resume her duties in the school room.
Birdine Anderson closed her school in the Alton district Friday.
By the way, we see farmers coming from below Greenwood with their grist to the Hemlock mill.
Mr. Flower drove to Neillsville Saturday, returning Sunday.
Mrs. Anderson expects to go to Blair the latter part of the week to visit her mother and sister.
Mesdames Farewell and Andrews of Longwood, with their daughters, and C. B. for driver, passed through here Monday of last week. Ben did not prove to be a very efficient driver as he dumped them into the ditch and the team got away from him. No one was hurt.
