Eidsvold, Wisconsin

The Ladies' Aid Society gave their regular ten cent supper at Mrs. Alma Vandusen's Wednesday night.

The snowstorm Sunday patched up the wagon roads, but it is still too soft for active logging operations.

Jos. Robinson enjoys the distinction of being the first to land logs in the mill yard here this winter. The logs were hauled for him by Bert Brooke, last Week.

A number of Sons of Veterans, from this place, Thorp and Reseberg, attended a meeting of the order at Longwood, Dec 17.

The school in the Rogers Creek district is enjoying a week's vacation.

The M. E. Church people had a bee at J. O. Warner's, Wednesday, to cut wood for Rev. Bachman, a former pastor. The result of the bee was about six cords cut, which with some donated by parties not attending the bee, will make about ten cords in all.

J. L. Smart informs us that he has purchased some land near his present farm, northeast of Eidsvold.

Moses Poquette has been confined to his bed the past two weeks with a severe attack of pleurisy.

The worldly possessions of the late Mrs. O'dell have been removed from the Martin house; Mrs. Baker has taken her departure, and the building for once is devoid of human occupants. A ghost is said to have invaded the premises, which so far has done nothing more serious than burning a dim light, at night in the second story.
