Nevins, Wisconsin

Toma Thorsen is home from Babcock to spend vacation with her parents.

Millie Thorsen and Etta Moe are enjoying a two week's vacation at home from the Neillsville, Wis. high school.

Elery Messing returned from Almond Sunday evening.

D. E. Borgers visited at Nevins two day last week.

H. Fredhette is removing his stairs from the outside and putting them indoors.

Laura Sparks, who has been working in Pittsville, is home for the holidays.

While logging, Thos. Sparks had a log roll on his foot, injuring it severely.

Bertha Winn, teacher in district No. 1, is having a two weeks' vacation.

Some of our folks had an interesting bear chase this week. Watts and Franklin ran across Mr. Bruin and wounded him severely but secrets will out. So when they came to follow up the chase the next day, they just got him nicely started on the trail, when some of their friends (?) headed them off and ran down the bear. The defeated men got to the field in time to see their game dressed and to get a little piece of meat for their trouble.
