Hendricks, Robert  (27 JUNE 1925-21 NOV 2009)

Robert L. Hendricks, 84, Marshfield, died on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, at Golden Living Center, Three Oaks, Marshfield. Funeral services were held at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 25, at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield. Te Rev. James Logan officiated. Burial took place in Hillside Cemetery, where military rites were conducted by the American Legion Post 54.

 

Robert Hendricks was born on June 27, 1925, in Withee, to Theodore and Helen (Bartholomay) Hendricks and attended Withee public schools. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Philippine Island during World War ll. He married Shirley M. Moon on Sept. 20, 1947, in Milwaukee. He had been employed as a department store manager in Milwaukee from 1946-50. They then moved to Greenwood where he worked at Stewart’s Redville Dairy. They later moved to Texas where he managed apartments until retirement in 1992, when they moved to Marshfield.

 

Survivors include his wife, Shirley; four children, Susan (Rex) Roehl, Neillsville, Judith Netzer, Marshfield, Patricia (Bill) Watts, Benbrook, Texas, and Robert W. (Teri) Hendricks, Widefield, Colo; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.

 

Preceding him in death were his parents.

 

Memorials may be designated in his name to the Marshfield Medical Research Foundation for COPD research.
