Ronald E. "Bullet" Anderson, 59, Withee, died on Monday, Nov. 23, 2009, at Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, after being admitted ther on Nov. 4. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., on Saturday, Nov. 28, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Withee. The Rev. Thomas Myhre officiated.
Burial followed in Riverside Cemetery in the town of Hixon. Serving as pallbearers were Marvin Mengel, Dale Anderson, Larry Luzinski, Tony Phipps, Jim Luzinski and Rick Witek.
Ronald E. Anderson was born on Sept. 3, 1950, in Stanley, to Harvey and Velda (nee Arndt) Anderson. He attended Hixon Heights Grade School and later graduated from Owen9Withee High School. He married Diane Arndt on Sept. 18, 1971. They later divorced. On Feb. 13, 1988, he married Colleen Anderson in Withee. He began working at the Longwood Cheese Factory and later at the Withee Feed Mill. He was employed as a forklift operator for Grassland Dairy, Greenwood until his health prevented him from working. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Withee, the Sportsman’s Club, Withee, and the North Star Driving Club. His passion was deer hunting and being in the outdoors. He loved going to auctions and garage sales in the area, having his miniatures horses, riding his motor cycles, and collecting eagles.
Survivors include his wife, Colleen, Withee; his daughter, Debbie (Rod Clark) Peteroon, Owen; his parents, Harvey and Velda Anderson, Withee; his stepchildren, Jim (Sue) Heck. Greenwood, Terry (Anne) Heck, Elkhorn, Mike (Sue) Heck, Abbotsford, and Lori (Renee) Filla, Greenwood; 15 grandchildren; one sister, Janice(Allen) Arndt, Withee; and one brother, Billy (April) Anderson, Withee; as well as many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death was a granddaughter, Tapanga.
