LOYAL --
Melva P. Guzman, 89, of Loyal died Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009, at
Saint Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.
Funeral
services will be at 11 a.m. today at St. Anthony's Catholic Church,
in Loyal. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation
will be held today at the church from 10 a.m. until time of
service.
Melva
Phyllis Catlin was born Oct. 5, 1920, in Loyal, the daughter of
Haskill and Vivian (Bassett) Catlin. She worked as a beautician in
Stevens Point and in Marshfield. Melva was united in marriage to
Raymond F. Guzman on July 29, 1942, at St. Peter's Catholic Church
in Stevens Point.
She moved
back to Loyal where she worked at the Loyal Public Library for 29
years, most of those years as the librarian.
Melva is
survived by her children, Sandra Guzman of Loyal, Thomas (Sharon)
Guzman of Friendship, Jack Guzman of Madison; three grandchildren
and two great-granddaughters; two brothers, Clark (Jan) Catlin of
Mountain Ranch, Calif., and Franklin Catlin of Marysville,
Mich.
