Asplin, Clinton A. (? - 11 July
1955)
Clinton A. Asplin, 63, of the Town of Weston,
died July 11, at a hospital in Marshfield. He had been a
patient there since July 1.
Funeral services will be held Friday from the
Christie Methodist Church. The Rev. Mrs. Ethel Nulton will
officiate and interment will take place in the Neillsville City
Cemetery.
The
body, in charge of the Georgas Funeral Home, will be taken to the
church at Christie at 12:30 p.m. and will lie in state until the
time of the services. (and the rest of the obituary is

Funeral service was held July 15 for Clinton R.
Asplin of the Christie community. The Rev. Mrs. Ethel Nulton of the
Christie Methodist Church officiated at rites held at the
church. Burial was made in the Neillsville City
Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: LaVerne Cutts, Ben
Schwellenbach, Fred Buchholz, George Schaefer, Alfred Boon and
Henry Harder. Mrs. Ben Schwellenbach, Mrs. Henry Harder, Mrs.
George Schaefer and Mrs. Fred Buchholz were in charge of the
flowers.
Relatives from out of town attending were: Herbert Fritsch, Madison; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Asplin, Mr. and Mrs. Craig Asplin and daughter, Madison; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Ampe, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. George Scherer and family Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. Dale Armitage and family, Humbird; Mr. and Mrs. James Asplin, Waunakee; Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Mills, Owen; Mrs. Lottie Mills and Glen Mills and sons, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Louis Shaw, Black River Falls; Cullen Ayer, Alvin Fravert, Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Fischer and daughter, Port Edwards; Mrs. Beulah Fisher, Hatfield; Mrs. Idella Collier, Green Bay; Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Beyrels, Ellis Jacklin and Mary, Marshfield; Mrs. William Malchow, Dorchester; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Kayhart, Stetsonville; Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Collier, Ladysmith; Perry Collier and Mrs. William Ayers, Ladysmith; Mrs. Stella Asplin and children, Marshfield; Mrs. Harry Emling, Abbotsford; and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Keach of Viroqua.
