Aumann, Charles (1955)
Polio Victim says He’ll ‘Be
Okay’ shortly - Charles Aumann, 12, returns home here
Saturday morning; no Paralysis -
"I’ll be okay in a couple of weeks!"
That was the news Charles Aumann, 12, imparted over the telephone
Satruday when a Press reporter called to check on his
condition.
Charles was Clark County’s first - and to
date, only - Polio victim this season. He was taken to the
Hospital, Monday, August 1, and was back home Saturday morning,
August 6.
The good news went farther than that: Charles has no paralysis. He still had a little stiffness in some neck and shoulder muscles; but that will be dissipated by the use of hot packs.
