County’s Rural Schools
(1955)
Most Rural School Openings set for August 29; a
few will open a week earlier -
Efforts are being made this week to fill
vacancies in three schools of the Clark County School system as the
opening date for most rural schools draws near.
First rural schools will open on Monday August
22; but the majority of them will start a week later, on August 29,
according to Co. Supt. Leonard Morley.
The three positions yet to be filled are: Rocky Run School, five miles west of Greenwood; the Principal and upper grades teacher at the Riplinger State Graded School; And, the principal and upper grades teacher at the Pleasant Hill State Graded School, located between Dorchester and Abbotsford.
