Langreck, Joan (Marriage - 25 August
1955)
Upon their return from a wedding trip to an
undisclosed location the new Mr. and Mrs. Dale Duane Fitzmaurice
will make their home at 111 W. Blodgett St. in Marshfield.
They repeated their marriage vows in St. Mary’s Catholic
Church on Thursday morning prior to a nuptial high mass. The
Rev. Fr. Peter J. Leketas officiated at the double ring
ceremony.
The
bride, Joan Langreck, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob
Langreck of R 4, Neillsville, and the groom is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Lewis Fitzmaurice of Humbird.
As
the bride approached the altar on the arm of her father she was
attired in a floor-length gown of Nylon net over satin with two
tiers of net. Highlighting the skirt was a lace peplum. The
fitted bodice, trimmed with sequins and pearls, was fashioned with
a mandarin collar. Her finger-tip veil, which was edged in
lace, was fastened to a small headpiece. Stephanotis, white
and pink roses made up her crescent-shaped bouquet.
Miss Joyce Langreck of S. Maple Ave. Marshfield
was her sister’s maid of honor. The two bridesmaids
were Mrs. William Wilkinson of Beloit, niece of the groom, and Miss
Pat Bornbach of Rozellville.
Fred Dux attended his cousin as best man.
Groomsmen were Duane Jinkerson of Worthington, Minn., and LaMarr
Hardwick of Neillsville. Delbert Langreck, brother of the
bride, and Donald Eisburner of Humbird attended to the ushering
duties at the church.
Diane and Paul Michaels of Alma Center, niece and
nephew of the groom were the miniature bride and
groom.
Following the marriage ceremony a breakfast was
served at the home of the bride’s parents and a dinner was
served at noon to members of the immediate families. A
reception was held at the American Legion Hall in the
afternoon. In the evening a wedding dance was held at the
Silver Dome.
The bride, who is employed in Marshfield, is a graduate of the Neillsville High School. The groom is a graduate of the Fairchild High School and is a lineman for the Western Union Telephone and Telegraph Co.
