Ormond, Oliver Owen (14 September 1900 - 22
September 1955)
The
Rev. Virgil Holmes, pastor of the Methodist Church, conducted
funeral services for Oliver Owen Ormond, on Saturday September 234,
from the Georgas Funeral Home. Burial took place in the
Neillsville City Cemetery.
Mr.
Ormond, age 55, died unexpectedly September 22 at his home in
Eyota, Minn., where he was engaged in the painting business.
He was born September 14, 1900, in the Town of Weston and about 27
years ago left this community. The body arrived in
Neillsville late Friday evening.
Mr.
Ormond is survived by two sons, Robert of New Jersey and Donald of
Long Island, N.Y.; four sisters, Mrs. Martin Zilisch of
Neillsville; Mrs. Robert Welsh, Waunakee, Wis.; Mrs. George Elmer,
Sunny Vale, Cal.; Mrs. C. J. Vale of Cottage Grove, Wis.; five
brothers, George, Kansas City, Kan.; Douglas of Greenwood; Charles,
Kennedy, N. Y.; John of Neillsville and William of
Milwaukee.
Pallbearers were: Theodore Ormond, John Ormond,
Wayne Ormond, Frank Zager, Pete Zager and Martin
Zilisch.
Those from out of town attending the rites were: Mr. and Mrs. Robert Welsh, Waunakee, Wis.; Douglas Ormond, Greenwood; Charles Ormond, Kennedy, N. Y.; Mrs. C. J. Vale, Cottage Grove, Wis.; Mrs. Margaret Freiherr, Waunakee and Mr. and Mrs. William Ormond of Milwaukee.
