Kilty Barn Burns (1955)
The large barn on the Glenn W. Kilty farm, two miles west of Unity, was completely destroyed by fire on Tuesday. Loss includes 2,500 bushels of oats, 50 to 60 tons of hay, a milk house, a barn water system and milking equipment. Mr. Kilty attributed the blaze to overheated electric wiring. Loss was partially insured.
