Jensen, James K. (29 January 1870 -
1955)
James Jensen, 86, was found dead upon the floor
of his shack in the Town of Hendren on Tuesday. Coroner
Bergemann ascribed death to heart failure.
Mr.
Jensen lived alone; had no local relatives, and is survived by a
niece who lives in Oak Park, Ill.

Funeral services for James K. Jensen, 85, were
held Friday afternoon from the Bergemann Funeral Home. The
Rev. Frank Harcey, pastor of the Congregational Church,
officiated. Interment took place in the Neillsville City
Cemetery.
Mr.
Jensen, son of the late Soren and Anne Jensen, was born January 29,
1870, at Aalborg, Denmark. In 1893 he came to this country
and resided in Chicago until 1914, when he moved to Menomonie, Wis.
where he operated a shoe shop. When his hearing began to fail
in 1929 he came to the Town of Hendren and had since resided alone
on a farm.
He
is survived by one sister, Mrs. Anna Hansen of Oak Park, Ill.; two
nieces and two nephews.
Other members of his immediate family preceded
him in death.
Pallbearers were: John Celesnik, Frank Dobes,
Oscar and Paul Kuenkel, William and Frank
Volovsek.
Out of town relatives attending the rites were: Mrs. Arthur Genaze of Oak Park, Ill.; Mrs. Florence Riegel and son, James of Oak Park.
