McCoy, Rita C. (10 MAY 1955)

 

Dr. Preston Bradley was in charge of the marriage rites on May the 10th, 1955 at 1 o’clock during which Miss Rita Charlotte, McCoy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. R. McCoy of Miller City, Ill., and Herman Karl Doege, Chicago, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Doege, Withee, Clark Co., Wis., were wed.  The ceremony was held in the Peoples Church, Chicago.

 

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was dressed in white satin and net.  Her fingertip veil of net fell from a decorated crown.  The bouquet carried by the bride was a white orchid surrounded by white carnations.

 

The bride’s only attendant was her sister, Mrs. Thomas Rodgers of Chicago, who wore a pink satin and net gown and a tiny flowered net.  Her bouquet was pink and white carnations.

 

Mr. Thomas Rodgers of Chicago acted as best man.

 

The mothers of the bride and groom had a purple orchid pinned to their nylon dresses.

 

A reception was held at the newlyweds new home at 11 31 N. Francisco, Chicago, Ill.

 

Guests at the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. D. R. McCoy and son, Mickey, Miller City, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Herman Doege, Arthur, Robert and Grace Doege, Withee, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Rodgers and son Tommy, Mr. L. McCoy, June McCoy, Coralie McCoy, Miss Helen Hannkas, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Lock, and Mr. and Mrs. John Bowers of Chicago, Ill.
