Pigott, Zelda Fae (Marriage - 12 November
1955)
Miss Zelda Fae Pigott of Granton became
the bride Saturday of Elton George Janke of Hixton. The Rev.
Alfred Schewe performed the 2 p.m. ceremony at St. John’s
Lutheran Church. Parents of the young couple are Mr. and Mrs.
Harley Pigott of Granton and Mr. and Mrs. Louis Janke of
Hixton.
For her wedding the bride wore a gown
fashioned with a tight fitting bodice with a stand-up collar. A
nylon pleated tulle and lace peplum fell over the full satin
skirt. Her fingertip veil, edged with sequins, fell from a
crown trimmed with seed pearls. She was given in marriage by
her father. Her bouquet was made up of pink roses and
snow-drift pompoms.
Mrs. Arnold Karl of Neillsville was her
sister’s matron of honor. Richard Janke, brother of the
groom, served as best man.
Ricky Janke, nephew of the groom, and
Carol Jeanne Ludwig, niece of the bride were ring bearer and flower
girl.
Following the double ring ceremony a
reception for 50 guests was held in the St. John’s school
basement, which was decorated with blue and white streamers and
white wedding bells.
The bride and groom are both graduates of high school and after November 20 they will be at their home on Rt. 2 Hixton, where the groom is farming.
