Meihack, Bertha (30 July 1866 - 23 November 1955) 
 

Mrs. Bertha Meihack, 89, of Neillsville, R3, died November 23 at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Anton Meihack. 
 

Mrs. Meihack was born July 30, 1866, in Germany to Carl and Gustivia (Drier) Nemitz.  She received her education in Germany and came to America with her parents on July 13, 1886.  The family located on a farm near Neillsville.  Her marriage to August F. Meihack took place November 2, 1889, at Neillsville. Following their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Meihack continued on the farm, which later their son, Anton, operated. 
 

Mrs. Meihack became ill on November 7, of this year. 
 

She is survived by six children: Mrs. Emil (Emma ) Wessenberg, Neillsville; Mrs. John (Margaret) Olson, Marshfield; Mrs. Herman (Sarah) Beyer, Merrill, Mrs. August (Clara) Beyer, Greenwood, R1; Anton Meihack on the home farm and Mrs. Adolph (Mildred) Beyer, Milwaukee, eight grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. 
 

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1945, her parents, two sisters, Minnie and Wilhelmina, and four brothers, William, Henry, Fred and Charles.  
 

The body, in charge of the Georgas Funeral Home, was taken to the Immanuel Lutheran Church at Globe on Saturday, where it reposed until time of service at 2 p.m.  The Rev. Adolph Schumann officiated.  Burial was in the parish cemetery. She was a member of the Globe church. 
 

Pallbearers w ere: Arthur and Carl Nemitz, Alvin, William and Frank Meihack and Fred Dux. 
 

Out of town persons attending the rites included: Mr. and Mrs. Herman Beyer, Mrs. Joseph Calmes, Merrill; Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Beyer and James, Mr. and Mrs. Ewald Beyer, Ronnie and Bob Ball, Mr. and Mrs. James Davis, all of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. George Beyer, Athens; Mr. and Mrs. John Olson, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Olson, Clifford and JoAnn, all of Marshfield; Mrs. Herman G. Riedel, Mrs. George Peternel and George III, Miss Frances Riedel, all of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Pagelsdorf and Darlene, Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. Herman Belter, Granton, and Miss Rose Marie Lueck, Medford.
