Ewert, Dennis Lee (New Year’s Baby
- 1 January 1956)
The first baby of the New Year arrived at
12:39 a.m. January 1 at the Memorial Hospital. He is Dennis
Lee, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Ewert of Colby, R 2.
The little newcomer weighed in at 7 lbs.
and ½ oz. and was 19-inches long. He is the first
child of the Ewert’s.
The new father was recently discharged
from the Air Force with the rank of Airman Third Class and is
employed by the Western Condensing Co., of Owen. Mrs. Ewert
is the former Janet Radley of Owen, R 1.
Being the first baby born at the Memorial Hospital in 1956 enables Dennis Lee to be the recipient of the many prizes being offered by merchants of Neillsville.
