Hayden, MSGR. Thomas F. (? - 1 January
1956)
Requiem High Mass was celebrated by the
Most Rev. John P. Treacy, bishop of the La Crosse diocese, for the
Very Rev. Thomas F. Hayden in St. Louis Catholic Chruch in
Marshfield Wednesday. Msgr. Hayden had died of a heart attack
as he was preparing Sunday for Mass at St. John’s Catholic
Church at Dorchester, of which he was pastor.
Msgr. Hayden had earlier been rector of
Holy Cross Seminary at La Crosse, suffered a heart attack there and
was transferred to Dorchester to escape the heavier load at the
seminary. He was a native of Marshfield and is being buried
there.
Msgr. Hayden preached the sermon at the installation of the Rev. Fr. Peter Leketas as pastor of St. Mary’s church, Neillsville.
