Gotter, Alma (17 October 1899 - 31
January 1956)
Mrs. Richard Gotter, 56, died in a
hospital in Marshfield, Tuesday morning, January 31. Death
followed an illness of several years.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m.
Friday in Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal, and burial was made in
the Granton Lutheran Cemetery. The Rev. J. Pfohl officiated.
The hymns, "Asleep in Jesus," and "In the
Garden, " were sung by Mrs. Romaine Rossow. Miss Margret Ann
Rottjer was the organist.
Pallbearers were: Louis Breseman, Walter
Schlinsog, and William Naedler, Granton; Donald Braatz of
Neillsville and Art Lautenbach, and Celen Gotter of
Loyal.
Mrs. Gotter, the former Alma Pieper, was
born at Oak Grove, Dodge County October 17, 1899. She came to
Clark County with her parents when two years of age, and lived in
the vicinity of Loyal and Granton all her life.
She was married to William Breseman at
Loyal in the Trinity Lutheran Church on May 9, 1917. Mr. and
Mrs. Breseman operated a cheese factory in Clark County until the
death of Mr. Breseman in 1945. She then came to Loyal to
live. In 1948 she was married to Richard Gotter at Loyal and
lived here until her death.
She is survived by her husband; a son, Algarnon Breseman of Chilton; four grandchildren; eight step-children, Celen Gotter of Loyal, Harvey of Eugene, Ore., Reuben and Ronald of Marshfield, Elroy of La Crosse, Mrs. Norman (Lorene) Luchterhand, Mrs. Rupert (Arlene) Christman, and Mrs. Paul (Elaine) Degenhardt of Loyal; two brothers, Reinhardt and Arnold Pieper; and a sister, Mrs. William Fohrman of Loyal.
