Responses
I cannot remember ever hearing him called "Royal", but I knew him very well. Roy was a cattle dealer in the Town of Levis. At 16 and 17 years of age, I'd take my dad's stock truck to the Roy Eddy farm and maybe load up a horse or cow he'd sold and take it to Merrilan or Black River Falls or wherever to unload it at some farmer's place then load up another horse, pony, cow or heifer he'd taken in trade and go to another farmer. It went like this all day. Harnesses were also bought and traded. I went to High School with Jack Eddy and was the Best Man at our wedding, Jan. 12, 1952. I also knew Edgar, Roy Jr. and Kenny. We worked on the gas line at Marshfield together around 1960. Don Schutte
