Mayenschein, William (21 MAY 1876 - 19 AUG 1955)

 

Rev. Cecil Ward conducted funeral services at the Thorp Funeral Home at 2:00 o’clock Monday afternoon for Wm. Mayenschein, 79, who passed away at his farm home in the Town of Butler (Clark Co., Wis.) on Friday, Aug. 19th, 1955.

 

The deceased was born at Ironington, Lawrence Co., Ohio, on May 21, 1876.  His wife, the former Blanche Noyse, to whom he was married in July 1904, preceded him in death.

 

Mr. Mayenschein was a resident of the Town of Butler for many years.

 

Surviving him are his wife, Rose Butler Mayenschein, one son, Curtis Mayenschein, Thorp, four daughters, Lodean, Mrs. Walter Culp, Algoma, Wis., Esther, Mrs. John Bizjak, and Laverne, Mrs. Arthur Reineke, Thorp, and Lydia, Mrs. George Pope, Chicago; one step-daughter, Doris, Mrs. Jack Vichola, Chicago; one brother, Louis Mayenschein, Mt. Tabor, Wis.; 24 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.  Preceding him in death were one step-son, six brothers and three sisters.

 

Interment took place in the Butler Cemetery.  Pallbearers were Art Morrison, Ed Greer, John Kile, Harold Reineke, Ray Collins and Jack Conklin.

 

Out of town relatives attending the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Harold Mayenschein, Waukegan, Ill.; Mrs. Leone Olson, Janesville, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Taylor, Valley, Wis.; Dr. and Mrs. George Pope and family, Chicago, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Vichola and family, Chicago, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Harley Perkins, Rockford, Ill.; William Beiden, Vancouver, Wash.; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Culp, Algoma, Wis.; Tom Club, Green Bay, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Hafeman, Algoma, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Ulies, Algoma, Wis.; Miss Betty Culp, Chicago, Ill; Mr. and Mrs. Dan Belden, Eau Claire, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Will Travers, Hillsboro, Wis.
