Lusa, Lois M. (13 AUG 1955)

Miss Lois Marie Lusa became the bride of Jerome F. Tieman of 2735A North Oakland, Milwaukee, at a lovely home wedding held Saturday, Aug. 13, 1955, at 2 p.m. at Milwaukee.  The bride is daughter of Elmer Lusa, 1406 Anderson Ave., Wakefield, Mich., and Mr. Tieman is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Tieman, Thorp, Clark Co., Wis.

The Rev. F. J. Lund read the impressive marriage rites in the home, decorated with arrangements of pink and white gladioli, asters and mums.  A similar arrangement of cut flowers decorated the piano.  White bells and lavernder and white streamers formed a lovely background.

The pianist was Mrs. Bruce Cox of Wakefield.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, was lovely in a traditional white satin gown with net overskirt, a portrait, scalloped neckline, and full skirt.  She carried a cascade bouquet of pink rubrum lilies centered with white nylon net and satin ribbon, and completed her costume with a strand of pearls, a gift of the bridegroom.

Miss Alice Tieman, sister of the bridegroom, as maid of honor, was attired in a formal of lavender taffeta with a net overskirt, strapless bodice, and lavender nylon stole.  She carried a cascade bouquet of pink Delight roses tied in nylon net and lace and centered with stephanotis.

William Lusa, brother of the bride, was the best man.

Mrs. Lusa, stepmother of the bride, wore a coral colored, nylon two piece suit dress, with complementary accessories, and corsage of pink Garnet roses and stephanotis.  Mrs. Tieman wore a navy blue nylon crepe street length dress with matching accessories and pinned a corsage of pink Garnet roses and stephanotis to her shoulder.

Following the ceremony a reception for 200 guests was held at the bride’s home.  Miss Bertha Maki cut and served the tiered, decorated wedding cake, after it had been traditionally cut by the couple with the bridal knife, tied in satin ribbon and net.  Mrs. Jack Koski, Wakefield, presided at the silver serving set.  Miss Jo Ann Maki and Miss Marianne Spencer were in charge of the guest book and Mrs. Jack Ahola was in charge of the gift table.  The serving attendants wore nose gays of pink carnations tied in pink nylon lace, pink and white ribbon.

The couple left on a wedding trip of two weeks to northern Michigan and Wisconsin, after which they will make their home at 3111 North Bartlett, Milwaukee.  For her trip, the bride chose a navy blue linen dress with white accessories, and a corsage of pink Garnet roses backed with pink nylon and tied in pink satin ribbon.

The bride was graduated from the Wakefield High School and has been employed by the Western Union Telegraph Co. in Madison, Wis.

The bridegroom graduated from the Greenwood (Clark Co.) High School and is employed at Griffins Services Station in Milwaukee.
