Markowski, Virginia (23 AUG 1955)
Miss Virginia Markowski of Chicago, became the bride of Richard Langiewicz, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), at 9 a.m. August 23, 1955 at St. Mary’s Church at Stanley.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Markowski, Minneapolis, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Langiewicz, Thorp.
The Rev. R. J. Geissler read the double ring ceremony.
The bride, who was escorted to the altar by her father, wore a gown of imported organdy, fashioned with a square neckline, princess style bodice, and a three-tiered skirt. She had a fingertip length imported net veil, and carried a bouquet of white carnations and American Beauty roses.
Mrs. William Peterson, the groom’s sister, served as matron of honor. She wore a powder blue gown of net over taffeta, and carried pink carnations and American Beauty roses.
Stanley Markowski of Chicago, the bride’s brother, was best man.
Mrs. Markowski wore a gray suit with a corsage of pink carnations for her daughter wedding.
The groom’s mother wore a gray suit dress, and also had a corsage of pink carnations.
After their wedding trip through northern Minnesota, the couple will live at Route 3, Greenwood.
