Seufzer, Donna M. (30 AUG 1955)
The Rev. Edmund Cramer read the double ring marriage ceremony at 9 a.m. Aug. 30, 1955 for Donna Mae Seufzer, Route 1, Stanley and Robert Duane Smasal, Route 1, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.).
The wedding took place at St. Ann’s Church, Stanley.
The bride wore a gown of white imported nylon over white satin. It was styled with a four tier skirt, fitted bodice, scalloped neckline, short sleeves, and matching gauntlets. Her three-quarter length French nylon illusion veil fell from a crown of seed pearls and rhinestones. Her flowers were a heart shaped bouquet of tiny roses with streamers.
The bride’s cousin, Miss Elaine Conlon, Eau Claire, was maid of honor. She wore a gown of white imported nylon over orchid taffeta with a matching veil. She carried a colonial bouquet of white carnations and tiny pink roses.
Miss Martha Wasleski, Stanley, and Mrs. Glenn Von Wald, cousin of the groom, served as bridesmaids. Their gowns were of white imported nylon over yellow taffeta over pale green taffeta.
Flower girls were Kathleen and Nancy Ann Seufzer, sisters of the bride. They wore dresses of imported nylon over rose and yellow taffeta respectively, and each carried a colonial bouquet of red and white carnations.
Best man was Donald Smasal, brother of the groom, and groomsmen were Rudy Vrkljon and Kenneth Seufzer, brother of the bride.
Duane Smasal and Leonard Lauer were ushers.
The reception was held at the home of the bride in the afternoon. A wedding dance was given in the evening at St. Hedwig’s Ballroom. When the couple left on their wedding trip the bride was wearing a Kelly green suit with red accessories.
The couple will live at Route 1, Withee.
