Albrecht, John R. (1956)
John R. Albrecht, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Richard Albrecht of Neillsville, has been accepted for pilot
training by the air force, it was announced this week by S/Sgt.
William G. Olson, local air force recruiter form Eau
Claire.
Albrecht will be flown from Minneapolis,
Minn., to Lackland A. F. Base, Tex., June 19 for his class
assignment. With 14 months of training he will be
commissioned a second lieutenant. Albrecht is a graduate of
Neillsville High School and attended Stout Institute at
Menomonie.
Sgt. Olson said that any high school graduate between 19 and 26½ is eligible to apply for aviation cadet training. An air force representative will interview interested young men in the post office every Thursday between 10 a.m. and 12 noon.
