Nielsen, Dawn Eloise (Marriage - 13 June 1956) 
 

The Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church was the scene Wednesday evening of the marriage of Dawn Eloise Nielsen and David Richard Stucki.  In a candlelight ceremony, at 6:30 p.m. the Rev. Benjamin Stucki and the Rev. J. W. Grether performed the double ring ceremony before an altar decorated with iris and peonies. 
 

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore the traditional white.  Her gown was fashioned in princess style with lace over taffeta and was complete with long mitts.  Her shoulder length veil fell from a lace cap.  She carried a lace fan with small red rose buds for her bouquet. 
 

Miss Roberta Kurth was the bride’s only attendant. 
 

William Stucki of Madison was his brother’s bestman.  Attending to ushering duties at the church were Raymond Maxwell of Brodhead, Forrest Nielsen and Paul Manz.  
 
Little Wendy Sue Nielsen and Deborah Bremer served the bride as flower girls. 
 

Miss Mary Lou Hagie, friend of the bride, sang, "O Perfect Love" and "The Lord’s Prayer." 
 

Following the ceremony a reception for 100 guests was held at the Winnebago Indian School. 
 

Upon their return from a wedding trip to Chetek and Plymouth, the young couple will be at home to their friends, at 1210 W. 5^th Street, Neillsville. 
 

The bride will attend Mission House College at Plymouth this fall; and the groom is now attending Mission House College in his junior year. 
 

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. George Nielsen of Neillsville and the Rev. and Mrs. Benjamin Stucki, also of Neillsville. 
 

Out of town relatives attending the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Maxwell and family, Brodhead; Mr. and Mrs. Emil Nielsen, Hancock; Mrs. Lawrence Henderlong, Detroit, Mich.; Willis, Henry and Wilbur Blood of Wisconsin Rapids.
