Dankemyer, Ione Mae (Marriage - 23 June 1956) 
 

At the Zion Lutheran Church at Granton, Miss Ione Mae Dankemyer of Granton on Saturday became the bride of Dean Woodman Jevens of Portage.  The Rev. Arthur Oswald, pastor, performed the double ring ceremony before an altar banked with seasonal flowers. 
 

Mr. and Mrs. William Dankemyer of Granton and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph S. Jevens of Portage are the parents. 
 

The bride wore an embroidered net over satin gown, fashioned with a full length skirt.  The tight fitting bodice was complete with short sleeves.  She carried a bouquet of pink and white roses with swansonia. 
 

She was attended by her sister, Mrs. Robert Howard of Marshfield as matron of honor and by Mrs. James Plourde, a friend, as bridesmaid. 
 

The groom was attended by James Jevens as best man and by Dale Spicer of Pardeeville as groomsman.  Ushers were Robert Howard, Marshfield, and Gerald Opelt of Neillsville. 
 

On a wedding trip to Canada the bride wore a light brown dress suit with a white embroidered jacket.  Upon their return they will reside at Portage. 
 

The bride is a graduate of the Granton High School and Eau Claire Teachers College.  The groom is a graduate of the Portage High School. 
 

A reception was given in the church parlors by the Ladies Aid.
