Snyder, Jessie (4 July 1888 - 26 June
1956)
Funeral services for Mrs. E. H. Snyder,
age 67, of 1506 Hewett St. a lifelong resident of Neillsville, were
conducted Friday afternoon from the Bergemann Funeral
Home.
The Rev. Frank Harcey, pastor of the
Congregational Church, officiated. Burial was in the
Neillsville City Cemetery. The body reposed at the Bergemann
Funeral Home until time of service.
Mrs. Snyder died shortly before noon on
Tuesday at the Memorial Hospital. She had been in ill health
for the past year.
The former Jessie Dwyer was born July 4,
1888, in Neillsville and received her education in the schools
here. For the last several years she had been employed in a local
wearing apparel shop and also served as bailiff in Circuit Court, a
position she held at the time of her death.
She was married to Ernest Snyder on
August 21, 1918, at Rockford, Ill.
Her only survivor is her husband. A
brother and her parents preceded her in death.
Pallbearers were Herbert L. Brown, A. L.
Devos, Hugh Haight, Edward Kutchera, William Ruchaber and Joseph
Zimmer.
Miss Sarah Albrecht, vocalist,
accompanied by Mrs. J. Grether at the organ, sang two
selections.
Out of town relatives attending the services were: Mr. and Mrs. Al Reisner, Sheldon, Wis.; Mrs. Allen Wuethrich, Greenwood; Mrs. Edith Grow, Mr. and Mrs. William Wood, Milwaukee; Dr. and Mrs. Washburn, Augusta; Col. and Mrs. Leo Jackson, King, Wis.; Dr and Mrs. M. L. Claflin, Barron; Mrs. Henry Laffe and Mrs. Archie Kirby, Humbird.
