Grap, June (Marriage - 30 June
1956)
On Saturday, June 30, at 10 a.m. Miss
June Grap, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick L. Grap of Globe,
became the bride of Clarence Huettenrauch, son of Mr. and Mrs. Otto
Huettenrauch of Milwaukee. The ceremony was performed in St.
Peter’s Lutheran Church of Milwaukee, the Rev. Christian
Breest reading the service. Miss JoAnn Grap sang two
selections, "O Perfect Love," and "The Lord’s
Prayer."
A scoop neckline detailed the white silk
crystallite gown worn by the bride. Her veil was held by a
crown of lace and sequins. Her flowers were a white orchid
surrounded by red rose buds and stephanotis in a bouquet. The
wedding day was the bride’s birthday. For something old
she carried a white handkerchief which had been carried by her
great-grandmother Grap on her wedding day 100 years ago.
Miss Patricia King of Nelson was maid of
honor. Miss JoAnn Grap, sister of the bride, and Miss Mildred
Sladek of Loyal were bridesmaids, while a younger sister, Miss
Susan Grap, was junior bridesmaid.
The bestman was Edward Chase of
Milwaukee. The bride’s brothers, Ronald Grap, of
Rockford, Ill., and Frederick F. Grap, served as ushers. A
younger brother, Lewis Grap, was a junior usher.
The bride was gradated from the
Neillsville High School in 1952 and has been employed in Milwaukee
four years. The groom is a draughtsman with a Milwaukee firm
and is serving in the army reserve. The couple will reside in
Milwaukee. The bride’s parents, her brothers and
sisters and her grandmother, Mrs. Ferdinand Grap, attended the
wedding.
A reception was held Saturday evening at
the Grap home at Globe for relatives and friends. There were
guests at the reception from Milwaukee, Hales Corners, nelson,
Loyal, Granton, and from Rockford, Ill.
The couple left Saturday evening on a wedding trip. They returned late last week and spent the weekend at the home of the bride’s parents, to be present for confirmation at the Globe Lutheran Church on July 8. Lewis Grap, brother of the bride, was a member of the class, and for this event, Mr. and Mrs. Grap entertained a group of relatives and friends including sponsors for their son.
