She was born Flag Day, June 14, 1918, in

eighth grade year.
She married Franklin "Kaiser" Grap in
1945; he preceded her in death Nov. 23, 1957. She later

As a widow, Edna worked at Schroeder

until 1972, when they moved to town. Edna then worked at St.
Francis De Sales school cafeteria for seven years. She
retired when she turned 62 and later moved to Dubuque to be near
her two children and their families.
She was a faithful member of St.
Raphael’s Cathedral, Madison, St. Francis De Sales, Ossian,
IA, and The Church of the Nativity, Dubuque. She also
attended Mass often at St. Columbkille’s after moving to her
Bryant Street apartment.
Edna will most be remembered for her
strong faith in God, her deep love for her family and her enjoyment
in watching the Cubs and packers. She was a wonderful mother and
grandmother and a great cook.
Surviving are her son, Gary Grap, and her
daughter, Cheryl (Bob) Werner, both of Dubuque; her daughter in
law, Vickie Grap of Neillsville; 16 grandchildren: Conan, Mya,

goddaughter, JoAnn Kaiser; a sister-in-law, Viola Tessmer; and many

Dec. 30, 2009, at the Church of the Nativity, Dubuque, IA.

date.
