Chili, Wis. - 4-H Clubs (1956)
The Chili 4-H, lead by junior leader Miss
Barbara Haslow, is more than busy preparing for the county
fair. Notice the nice fair display the Chili 4-H members put
in the Chili café window! On the club tours
4-H’ers showed the first aid kits each family made for their
cars. This is a very important safety project the Chili
4-H’ers are undertaking! In addition to all the project
work, the girls are practicing for their vocal sextet. The Chili
girls will sing for the 4-H’ers on Thursday evening.
Riplinger 4-H club, under the leadership
of Mrs. Arlyn Ewert, too, are working on fair exhibits. With
the free fair the exhibits records are anticipated to be very
high. From all the fine 4-H work, the exhibits will have high
standards. The Willing Working Worchel Workers are working on
their various 4-H projects. Mrs. Tekla Anderson is the
leader.
The other day I heard a little boy jumped with glee when he heard the fair would be free. Really, he didn’t know the gate would be free. However, he was very excited thinking the ice cream would be free. Well folks, the gate’s free and not the ice cream and goodies. We shall all see you at the fair.
