Iverson, Mayme (26 October 1899 - 16
August 1956)
Funeral services were conducted Sunday
afternoon for Mrs. Roy (Mayme) Iverson, 56, who died Thursday in
Neillsville following an illness of three years. Services
were held from the Georgas Funeral Home, with Edward Schwartz in
charge. Burial took place in the Columbia Cemetery, near
Neillsville (in the Town of Hewett).
Mrs. Iverson was born October 26, 1899,
at Culpepper, Va., the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert L.
Rouse. At the age of six her parents moved to Waukesha, where
she received her education. Later the family moved to
Columbia, in the Town of Dewhurst. Following her marriage to
Roy Iverson on November 17, 1917, at Neillsville they farmed in the
same locality.
She is survived by her husband and two
daughters: Mrs. Rudy (Virginia) Morvak, Milwaukee; Mrs. Steve
(Beulah) Jaje, also of Milwaukee; three sisters, Mrs. Legare
(Josephine) Apfel, Neillsville; Mrs. Emily Hines, Woodstock, Ill.;
Mrs. Stanley (Dorothy) Novak, Stevens Point; and a brother, Ernest
L. Rouse of Missoula, Mont.; six grandchildren and one
great-grandchild.
In charge of the rites were Eddie
Schwartz and Lloyd Brotherton of Wausau. Two hymns were sung by
Gladys Peterson and Marvin Ruehmling, accompanied by Doris
Wilson.
Pallbearers were: Ted Janicki, Charles
Marek, Joe Pasek, Edward Murphy, Ray Harwick and John
Dickenson. In charge of the flowers were: Mrs. George
Poertner and Mrs. William Sollberger.
