Krause, Herman (23 January 1873 - 17
September 1956)
Herman G. Krause, 83, of Neillsville, Rt.
2, died Monday at his home in the Town of Pine Valley.
Funeral services are to be conducted this (Thursday) afternoon from
the Georgas Funeral Home. Burial will be made in the
Neillsville City Cemetery.
Mr. Krause was born January 23, 1873, in
the Town of Grant to August and Anna (Geppert) Krause. He
spent his entire life in Clark County, being engaged in logging,
farming, and carpentry. Six years ago he and his wife moved
to a small place near the city due to ill health.
He was married to Amelia Riedel in 1912
in the Town of Grant.
Mr. Krause is survived by his wife, and
the following children: Mrs. Edna Ratsch, Neillsville; Mrs. Elmer
(Olga) Northup, Neillsville, Mrs. Clarence (Ella) Schnabel, Chili;
Mrs. Eva Grottke, Neillsville; Mrs. Glenn (Nora) Martin, at home;
and a step-son, Paul Wagner of Neillsville. Nine
grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services were conducted Thursday
afternoon from the Georgas Funeral Home for Herman G. Krause.
The Rev. Marvin O. Beninga officiated and burial took place in the
Neillsville City Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Oswald Pischer, Herman
Scharf, Charles Lueck, Herman Gloff, Ernest Ott and Herman Ratsch.
Out of town people attending were: Mr. and Mrs. Herman Gluch, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Lustig, Miss Arlene Riedel, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Riedel, all of Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Morton Clark, Alma Center; Mrs. Walter Moldenhauer, Mrs. Alfred Moldenhauer, Mrs. Mary Garbisch, Mrs. Hubert Dudei, Mrs. Martin Hillert, the Rev. and Mrs. Marvin Beninga, Oswald Pischer, all of Granton; Harry De Groat, Hixton; Miss Janice Grottke, Rockford, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Schnabel, Chili.
