Stelloh, Georgia Irene (27 August 1918 -
20 September 1956)
Georgia I. Stelloh, 38, wife of Clarence
Stelloh, former Neillsville resident, died Thursday night,
September 20, at her home in Shorewood after an illness which began
in December, 1955.
Funeral services were held Monday morning
at Luther Memorial Chapel in Milwaukee, and burial took place at 4
o’clock in the Neillsville City Cemetery. The Rev. John
Pfohl, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church of Loyal, was in charge of
graveside rites.
Georgia Irene Grosnick, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Henry Grosnick, was born August 27, 1918, in the Town of
York and grew to womanhood there. She was a graduate of the
Loyal High School and taught in the rural schools of Clark County
after completing a course in the teacher training department of the
Neillsville High School. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran
Church in Loyal.
On October 31, 1941, she was married to
Clarence Stelloh, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Stelloh of Neillsville,
the ceremony being performed in Trinity Church. They live in
Milwaukee, where Clarence is president of the Electro Sound Co.
which was founded in 1946. After going to Milwaukee she
became a member of Luther Memorial Chapel and its Evening Guild
Society. She was an active Cub Scout leader and was a den
mother at the time of her death. Her mother and a sister,
Alice preceded her in death.
Surviving, in addition to her husband,
are two sons, Frank, 14, and Thomas 10; her father, Henry Grosnick
of Milwaukee; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret McNaul of Milwaukee, and
Mrs. Doris Battin of Madison; and a brother, Raymond Grosnick of
Manitowoc. All of these relatives were here for burial services, a
s were Henry Stelloh, Clarence’s uncle, of Milwaukee; a
friend, Paul Hein of Milwaukee; and Clarence’s sister and her
family, Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Thiel and daughters, Charmaine and
Florine, of Marshfield.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Stelloh went Saturday to Milwaukee and returned Monday with their son and his family.
