White, Marion Julia (28 April 1890 - 6
October 1956)
After an illness of over a year, death
came to Mrs. Herbert White, 66, Saturday, October 6, in St.
Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield.
Marion Julia Albright was born in
Spokeville, a few miles southeast of Loyal, April 28, 1890.
She received her education in the rural schools of this vicinity,
and was a graduate of the Loyal High School. She
attended college at Stevens Point for a short time. For two
years she taught in rural schools near here.
She was married to Herbert White, in the
Loyal Methodist Church, November 6, 1912. After a few years
on a rented farm, they purchased a farm in the Lyons school
district, southwest of Loyal, where they lived for 30 years.
They moved into the city in 1948.
Mrs. White was a member of the Loyal
Methodist Church, served as president of the W. S. C. S., and
taught a class in Sunday school for many years.
She was also a member of Iris Chapter, O.
E. S. and Hope Camp, R. N. A., and served both of those
organizations as the highest officer, as well as in many of the
lesser positions.
She is survived by her husband and five
children, Mrs. Andras (Arlene) Cathey, Weott, Cal.; Mrs. Thomas
(Eunita) Schiro, Spencer; Mrs. Richard (Elna) Sutter, Sacramento,
Cal.; George White, Spencer; and Mrs. Harold (Janice) Herdrich,
Loyal. Two brothers, Bernard Albright, Ft. Bragg, Cal. and
Allen Albright, El Cerrito, Cal., and 14 grandchildren also
survive.
One child and one sister preceded her in
death.
Funeral services were held in the Methodist Church Tuesday, at 2 p.m. and burial was in the Loyal Cemetery. The Rev. Virgil Holmes of Neillsville officiated.
