Schafer, Nettie (Marriage - 21 October 1956) 
 

Miss Nettie Schafer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William A. Schafer, and Harold Freedlund, son of Mrs. Rugna Freedlund, all of Sherwood, were married at 3 o’clock Sunday afternoon at the home of the groom’s mother.  The Rev. William Summers of Merrillan performed the ceremony. 
 

Miss Betty Steponic of City Point, a friend of the bride, and Morris Freedlund, brother of the groom were their attendants. 
 

The bride chose a dress of white velvet and shoulder length veil. She had a bouquet of red roses. The bridesmaid wore a blue dress and hat to match and carried a bouquet of pink flowers. 
 

A reception was given to immediate relatives and friends. 
 

Mr. and Mrs. Freedlund left immediately for a trip to the Ozark Mountains.  Upon their return they will live on the farm of the groom’s mother.
