Neubecker, Matt (24 February 1880 - 23
October 1956)
Matt Neubecker, 76, of Neillsville, Rt.
1, Town of Levis, died October 23, at Memorial Hospital in
Neillsville.
Funeral services were conducted Friday
from the Georgas Funeral Home with burial in the Neillsville City
Cemetery. The Rev. Albert Guthmiller, pastor of the Evangelical and
Reformed Church officiated.
Mr. Neubecker was born February 24, 1880,
in Austria to Joseph and Mary (Uhlmer) Neubecker. He never
married but made his home with his parents. Since their
passing he had resided with his brother on the home farm.
He came with his parents to the United
States when a young boy. They located in Chicago and it was
here that he received his education and was confirmed. In
1889 his parents came to Clark County and settled in the town of
Levis, which had been his home since.
He is survived by one brother, William
Neubecker of Neillsville, Rt. 1. His parents, three brothers
and one sister, preceded him in death.
Pallbearers were: Joe and Andrew Kurasz,
Paul Wegner, Alvin Schuette, William Genteman, Sr., and Adolph
Meier,
Out of town relatives attending the services were Mr. and Mrs. Jacob J. Neubecker and Mrs. Helen Neubecker, all of Chicago.
