Harper, Alice (7 April 1867 - 26 October

Funeral services were held Monday
afternoon from the Christie Methodist Church for Mrs. Alice Harper,
89, who died Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Zella Asplin
of Greenwood.
The body reposed at the Georgas Funeral
Home until noon Monday, when it was taken to the church. The
Rev. Ethel Nulton of Greenwood officiated and internment was in the
Town of Weston Cemetery.
Mrs. Harper was born April 7, 1867, in
Calumet County to Hiram and Harriett (Mendel) Kayhart. Her
parents moved to Dorchester when she was five years of age.
Here she received her education and on October 25, 1886, was
married to George Harper at Neillsville. They resided at
Christie, which had been her home for 55 years. Since the
death of her husband she had made her home with her daughter, Mrs.
Zella Asplin.
She was a member of the Christie
Methodist Church.
Mrs. Harper is survived by two daughters,
Mrs. Henry (Hattie) Silkey of Neillsville and Mrs. Zella Asplin of
Greenwood; five grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one brother and two sisters.
