Sossaman, Claude "Corky" (1926? - January 12, 2010)
Claude "Corky" Sossaman, 84, a resident of Golden Living
Center, Abbotsford, died Tuesday, January 12, 2010.
Claude was a member of DAV, VFW, American
Legion and served in the United States Army and retires as an
interior/exterior painter.
He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed
spending time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two wives,
Beverly Anderson Sossaman and Georgina (Gina) Gokey Schmidt
Sossaman; two brothers, Darrell and Herman Sossaman; one sister,
Joy Reetz; and a step son, Dan Buss.
Claude is survived by his wife, Nila Sterling Buss Sossaman; four sons, Donny Gokey of Stone Lake, Dennis "Butchie" of Unity, Rick (Susan) of Abbotsford, Larry (Donna) Schmidt of Colby; five daughters, Audrey (Jim) Sossaman Hopfensperger of Unity, Debra (Bill) Schmidt Kara of Colby, Marcia Schmidt of Wisconsin Rapids, Gloria (Sherman) Schmidt Calmes and Sherry (Timothy) Sossaman Lau of Green Bay; 25 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Floyd "Red," of Wind Lake, Douglas "Skip," of Colby, Ralph of Abbotsford; and one sister, Dixie Ingersoll of Colby.
A service was held Saturday, January 16, 2010, Maurina-Schilling
Funeral Home in Abbotsford, with burial of his cremated remains to
take place at Abbotsford Cemetery.
