Neis, Felicia (7 October 1888 - 31
October 1956)
Felicia Neis, wife of Dr. Francis P. Neis
of Thorp, has been interred in the parish cemetery of St.
Bernard’s Catholic Church. She died October 31,
following a heart attack.
The former Felicia Bauer, daughter of the
late Frank Bauer and Crescentia Bachhuber, was born in Brownsville,
Dodge County on October 7, 1888. She received her education
in Mayville and was married there to Dr. Neis in 1917. They
move to Thorp 33 years ago. She was a member of the Christian
Mothers Society of St. Bernard’s Church and the Women’s
Catholic Order of Foresters.
Besides her husband, she leaves three children, Mrs. E. J. (Margaret) Klink and Philip, both of Albuquerque, N. M., and Francis J., Marshfield; two brothers Aloys Bauer, Jim Falls, and Oscar Bauer, Juneau and nine grandchildren.
