Ziebell, Fred H. (30 July 1865 - 30
November 1956)
Fred H. Ziebell, 81, a retired carpenter
of the Neillsville community, died Friday at his home on Rt. 4,
where he has resided since his retirement.
Services were held Monday afternoon from
the Gilbertson Funeral Home in Granton. The Rev. Virgil
Holmes, pastor of the Methodist Church, officiated. Burial took
place in the Neillsville City Cemetery.
Mr. Ziebell was born July 30, 1865, in
the Town of Oakland, Jefferson County, where he also attended
school. His marriage to the former Anna Roehl on July 30,
1896, also took place in Jefferson County. In 1903, they came
to Clark County and settled near Withee. Two years later they
moved to Neillsville, where he worked as a carpenter.
He is survived by one son, Norman Ziebell
of Brainerd, Minn., and a daughter, Mrs. Gertrude Gilbertson of
Granton. Five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren also
survive.
Deceased members of his family are his wife and one son, Clarence, who died in 1926.
