Wehe, Boniface (112 May 1882 - 7 December
1956)
Boniface Wehe, age 74, of 2002 Johnson
Street, Neillsville, died Friday morning at his home following an
illness of several months. Funeral services were held Monday
morning from St. Mary’s Catholic Church. The Rev. Fr.
Peter J. Leketas officiated, and burial was made in St.
Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery at Loyal.
The deceased was born May 12, 1882, in
Germany and came to this country with his parents when he was 14
years old. The family located at Gilman, Ill., and later
moved to the Loyal community, where they resided until five years
ago when they move to their present home in Neillsville. They also
lived at Rozellville for a short time.
Following his marriage on May 7, 1907, to
the former Anna Weber, they moved to a farm near Loyal.
He is survived by his wife and a
daughter, Sister M. Imelda of Chicago; and four sons: Brother
Clementine Wehe, St. Anthony’s Seminary Santa Barbara, Cal.;
John, Eugene and Jerome Wehe, all residents of the Loyal
community. Also surviving are 19 grand children.
Mr. Wehe was a member of St. Mary’s
Catholic Church of Neillsville and of its Holy name
Society.
Pallbearers were: Ray Hannan, Joe Hoeser,
Allie Schmidt, Anton Spangler, Anton and Joseph Walter.
Out of town relatives attending were: Sister M. Imelda, Chicago; Brother, Clement Wehe, Santa Barbara, Cal.; Mr. and Mrs. John Wehe and family, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Wehe, Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Wehe and family all of Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Weber and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Weber, Rozellville; Mrs. Nora Urhausen, Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Peter Kramer, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Weber, Jr., Joe Kramer, Mrs. Rose Weigel, Mr. and Mrs. Louie Krause, Mrs. John Bangart, all of Rozellville; Mrs. Bernard Bauer, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Schaefer, Stratford; Delbert Lyons, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hannan, Mr. and Mrs. John Schmidt, Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Walter, Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Bartch, Tony Walter, Joe Walter, Joe Hoeser, Anton Spangler and Allie Schmidt, all of Loyal.
