Stangret, Dolores A. (22 OCT 1955)

Dolores Ann Stangret, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Casper P. Stangret, Stanley, and Richard Slobodnik, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Slobodnik, Ret. 2, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), were married at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Church in Stanley.

The Rev. Ralph Geissler read the double ring ceremony.  The altar was decorated with bouquets of gladioli and pompons.

The bride wore lace and tulle over satin with a fitted bodice and illusion neckline embroidered in silk braid.  A lace peplum with appliqués of re-embroidered lace fashioned the full net skirt.  A tiara of tulle set with pearls held her illusion veil.  She carried a white carnation topped prayer book.

Carol Jean Stangret was her sister’s maid of honor.  Mary Jane Deutsch and Shirley Marie Eppers, both of Racine, were bridesmaids.  All attendants wore ruby colored chapel length frocks with cuffed off-the-shoulder necklines and elongated torsos with full gathered skirts.  They wore matching pill box hats with blush veils and carried pale yellow carnations.

Edward Cerven, Chicago, was best man, Robert Schara, Knapp, and James Cerven, Chicago, were groomsmen.  Ushers were Herbe Slock, Withee, and Dave Stangret, Stanley.

A reception was held at the home of the groom’s parents in Withee from 2 to 6 p.m.

The bride’s mother wore a black faille dress and the groom’s mother was in pink faille.  They had white carnations corsages.  The bride’s grandmother wore navy and a red carnation corsage.

They are now living at Rt. 2, Withee.
