Dobberstein, Max (19 NOV 1884 - 2 NOV 1955)

 

The Rev. Arnold Muckerheide officiated at funeral services Saturday morning at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church at 9:30 a.m. here for Max Doberstein, 70, who died last Wednesday evening in Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.).

 

Burial was in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery, with the Thorp Funeral Home in charge of funeral arrangements.

 

Mr. Dobberstein had resided in Thorp for the past eight years.  He came here from Chicago, where he was born Nov. 19, 1884.

 

Survivors include three brothers and two sisters, Paul, John and Frank Dobberstein of Chicago, Ill; Mrs. Ed Burke, Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Lillian McWilliams, Berwyn, Ill.  One brother preceded her in death.

 

Those serving as pallbearers were: John G. Bogumill, John Hickman, Tom Polnaszek, Raleigh Fisher, Eugene Wilhelm and Mike Kramer.
